    Our client's brand was initially launched in the UK in 1990s and has an extremely strong dental heritage. For the first 5 years it was sold only to dental professionals and to this day the dental community continues to be hugely influential in advocating the benefits of the brand. It is now available in retailers throughout the UK, including Boots, all major grocery chains and independent pharmacies.

    As part of our client's continued growth they are now looking for a new Trade Marketing Manager.

    Over the years our client's products have been recognised for their advanced performance alongside some of the UK’s biggest brands. With over 20 years of experience in oral care, the aim is to continue to develop superior professional oral care products incorporating the latest ingredients and technology, all supported by extensive scientific research. With a strong focus on new product development, together with the help of loyal supporters and customers, the brand continues to grow.

    The products are backed by extensive scientific research and clinically proven technology, which eliminates bad breath instantly to give 12 hour fresh breath confidence, protects teeth & gums and gently restores natural whiteness to teeth. 
     
    Position Overview:
    As a key member of this recently launched UK team, working closely with the UK Sales Director the incumbent is responsible for the design and implementation of UK trade marketing activity, including analysis, strategy, best practices, new product introductions and planning across all customers to ensure continued development in this very important market.
     
    Key Responsibilities:
    • To be the interface between Sales/Marketing, Customers, and related marketing agencies to help develop national and/or local account-specific promotional programs/key events
    • Develop Channel strategies for optimal product assortment and placement utilizing store shelf space more efficiently 
    • Recommend efficient and effective pricing and promotion strategies
    • Development/understand Local Category best practices and transfer knowledge to Sales for implementation
    • Development of sales presentation/materials and tracking/analyzing implementation of NPD
    • Utilizes information from a range of sources to understand market trends, competition, customer strategy, and brand strategy
    • Assists in the development of trade spend guidelines and performs top-line allocations
    • Help with the Demand Planning of products
    • Where applicable, gathering and understanding Consumer and Channel/Customer insights through research 
     
    Experience:
    • Degree calibre with minimum 3 years FMCG sales/marketing or retail management background 
    • Demonstrable commercial acumen and good understanding of trade marketing processes
    • Ability to analyse various data/information, interpret & construct straightforward plans
    • Confident of communicating and influencing at all levels of the organisation
    • Conversant with the components of Microsoft Office (Powerpoint, Excell, Word etc.)
    • Strong oral, written communication, and presentation skills
