  • Contract Manufacturing Manager, Healthy Lifestyle Food, North Wales

     Our client is a rapidly growing UK food company.From their base in North Wales they manufacture a variety of healthy gluten free snacking products under a diverse range of brands, with end customers in; Grocery, High Street, Convenience and Serviced chanels

    In addition they export to over 20 countries. In part this is via their own brands but primarily they contract manufacture for a select number of third party customers, including several well-known healthy lifestyle brands.
    In 2015, they were identified as one of the 100 fastest growing companies in the UK.
     
    As part of their continued growth they are now loking for a new Contract manufacturing Account  Manager.

     

    Background

    To date, new business has mainly been generated via word of mouth based on an excellent and honest reputation in the industry.

    They are now recruiting for an experienced and commercially astute individual to join them and to further develop their contract manufacturing business, as well as managing and building on their existing relationships in the UK and overseas, where they expect to grow revenue and profitability annually within each account.

     
    Role description
     
    Reporting directly to and working closely with the CEO, your key priorities will be:
     
    the day to day management of new and existing relationships adopting at all times a holistic approach
    the project management of NPD and EPD for all contract manufacturing customers
    to define, propose and implement strategies to profitably further develop revenues and profitability from existing contract manufacturing customers
    to develop long term strategies that identify potential customers and create and drive these strategies, ensuring that we are always first to mind for 
    anyone looking for innovative healthy snacking solutions
    the close liaison with our operations team to ensure that all contractual obligations are adhered to and reported against on a timely basis, both 
    internally and externally
     
    Responsibilities
     
    In order to manage and develop sales of all products that we contract manufacture for third parties, you will have the following primary responsibilities:
     
    Ensuring they put the customer at the heart of everything they do as a business
    You will be the internal customer champion and first point of contact for all commercial opportunities from new and existing contract manufacturing 
    customers
    Ensure we have most accurate possible forecasts from our customers
    Own and exceed annual sales and profit budgets
    Develop and execute plans to deliver short, medium and long term sales targets 
    Build and maintain strong, engaged and long-lasting profitable customer relationships
    Partner proactively with customers to understand their business needs and objectives
    Consistently communicate our value proposition through proposals and presentations
    Attendance at trade shows, to advertise and sell our own services and monitor competitor activity
     
    Requirements of the role
     
    Preferably within the food sector, you will have 5+ years of successful FMCG or contract manufacturing sales experience, where you’ll have consistently 
    met or exceeded targets
    Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
    Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
    Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects and value of services and position against competitors
    Experience in developing customer-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions
    Experience in developing and implementing strategic plans, liaising with key internal stakeholders and project managing these within the business environment
    Ability to manage multiple projects and/or brands with a highly organized approach
    Personable approach to relationships with extremely strong selling and negotiating skills
    Excellent budgeting and reporting skills; full understanding of cost, profit and loss
    Experience of developing and launching new products, agreeing and implementing development plans and reporting against individual customer requirements is 
    essential
    Excellent IT skills, especially Microsoft Excel 
    Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills
